As may become evident through my writings, I have a somewhat varied background with over 22 years college teaching experience, over 30 years experience in various federal positions and a significant amount of traveling and living in a variety of places and circumstances. And, contrary to what is posted on the internet, I was born in Rome, Italy and achieved U.S. Naturalization as a child.
As you read my posts I sincerely hope you will feel comfortable and welcome in commenting on each. I regret being unable to have a “sit down” with each and every one of you, but I very highly regard the opportunity to engage in discussion with you.
There are some posts which have a “fictional” flavor, though your decision as to whether they are fiction is yours alone. Two examples are Reflections, and Zep Tepi – which is actually a later written chapter in Reflections.
The COMMENTS sections for all previous posts are now open. Please do let me get to know you through your comments. Registration is easy and free. No one will track you or bother you in any way. You will not receive calls from this site at dinner time.
Unfortunately, due to a very large volume of SPAM postings, I must delete comments that do not reference and specifically discuss particular articles I have posted. It is also possible that, if you try to file a comment without registering it will go to spam, where I will not see it. I feel badly about this, but circumstances demand it.

First off I want to say wonderful blog! I had a quick question which I’d
like to ask if you don’t mind. I was interested to
know how you center yourself and clear your thoughts prior to writing.
I have had difficulty clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out.
I truly do enjoy writing however it just seems like the
first 10 to 15 minutes are generally wasted simply just trying
to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or tips?

May I simply just say what a comfort to discover a person that truly knows what they are discussing online.
